In 2024, I worked with Bristol City Council as part of their High Street Redevelopment Program, which saw myself and four other artists paint the roller shutters of small businesses on Church Road in Bristol.
The project aimed to redevelop areas in Bristol that had been negatively affected by the Covid pandemic and brought in local artists to help brighten up the community with art.
My shutters made allusions to the mountains of Afghanistan, as the business owner and his family were Afghani and celebrated the natural spaces found in the local community.
