The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill is a disturbing attempt to create an authoritarian police state, where the voices of ordinary people, particularly those most marginalised and disadvantaged, are silenced by state sanctioned penalties. We collectively decry this move by the UK government and demand that MPs Kill The Bill.

The bill was passed in The House of Commons but we must still put pressure on our elected officials to make changes before its next vote.

The rights to peacefully assemble and protest are a fundamental part of any democracy, empowering people to have their voices heard, in addition to holding the Government to account.

Not only does this Bill affect our rights to protest, it also further criminalises the Traveller community, sex workers and turns trespassing into a criminal offence.

We must not allow ourselves to be silenced. We must fight to protect and defend our fundamental human rights and the persecuted, disadvantaged communities in our country.
