Collage Workshop at the Summertide Seminary

On the 7th & 8th of June, I held 2 collage making workshops to produce artwork, placards and a community banner to celebrate the return of St Pauls Carnival.

Throughout the workshops, I taught participants some useful techniques, skills and tips to add to their creative tool kits and aid their collage making process.

I wanted participants to also celebrate and acknowledge the elder Caribbean community in Bristol and beyond, as this year we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the arrival of Empire Windrush into Tilbury Docks and honour them for all their contributions towards developing modern Britain and giving us cultural events such as St Pauls and Notting Hill Carnival.

I want to thank everyone who attended and Cleo Lake for hosting such a wonderful week of African focused workshops.
